I think the last time I used a coin or note was a couple of weeks ago. Even then it was only some loose change I found which I used to buy a chocolate bar.

Rarely have any physical money on my person.

Just used some coins for the vendor. Only other time I use cash is at the pub, unless contactless is available

This also. Using a card can result in an unwanted overdrawn balance.

Maybe if you're financially retarded. contactless card with mobile banking to keep an eye on balance/transactions means cash is near on useless to me

Hardly ever use cards, except for weekly cashpoint withdrawal, buying stuff online or where a fold of notes would be vulgar

I've wondered about this before, will they have to invest in a PDQ in future?

I used some at 3:00am on Wednesday morning in Bangaluru Airport to buy a coffee.
Always handy having a few IRP's in your pocket when your gaging for a cuppa.

Saturday. Paying for parking.

Will be using cash tonight to pay for parking. Maybe this afternoon to give the car a rinse at Tesco if the jet wash is working.

Yesterday to buy a beef bap from the butchers, however I rarely use cash because if it is on me I spend it; take the beef bap yesterday, if the money hadn't have been in my bag I would have gone without it, I didn't need it, I just fancied it.

The cash that I had for the beef bap was change from my Thursday AM bootcamp session, I tend to try and keep the change and let it add up so that there is enough for a session, however with it sloshing around in my bag, there is temptation to spend it on something else.

I hope that was a bloody good bacon sandwich at that price, as I assume the Lucozade was less than half of that transaction cost/

Me, I use cash quite a lot. Haven't bought anything today, or yesterday, so I guess Wednesday would be the last time, when I needed some milk.

An hour ago, bought breakfast. I like to deal in cash as its self limiting, you check your wallet and you know what you've got.

Credit/debit cards are fine but I find it too easy to put a tank of petrol or two on it in a month and then maybe a couple of internet purchases and a bit of shopping and then you forget about them until you check your balance and then its 'oops'

I guess as I'm in the middle of house renovations etc... I'm being particularly careful with money, but I do like the fact that you know where you stand a lot more easily with physical cash.

Lunch - either make it or use contactless debt card. Most leisure activities by card too. Genuinely don't see any beggars in my daily routine.

It was excellent, as it is every Friday biggrin, lots of freshly cooked bacon on freshly baked bread with just the right amount of sauce thumbup I think the sandwich is £3.40 and the lucozade makes up the balance, may seem expensive but I am slap bang in The City and after 30+ years am used to the cost smile

Paid the garage in cash for my service last week, then sold a set of alloys and received cash for that (went straight in my bank though).

Generally it's for a hair cut and that's it, £10 cash out opposite the barbers and £1 to buy some sweets on the way out!

Rarely use cash, maybe only once or twice a month.

Buy lunches/groceries, fuel etc by card and tend to not use the shop if card not accepted.

Also helps at expenses time to have a record of what I've spent to match with receipts.

Main exception is at the barbers smile
