hard tops

has anyone seen an actual example of the hard top that is in this months Sprint?
Quality or not that well made? How is the fit?
the heat here in summer means that even with AC it is a real struggle to keep cool, a decent hard top could really help.
I will order one if they are decent quality but don't want to shell out for the carriage if not, thanks.

Have you tried opening the window slightly to cool the interior?

Not in a 'let cool air in from outside' sense, but to make it easier for the fan to blow cold air into a tightly sealed cabin?

Do you have vents or speakers on the parcel shelf?

I'm guessing that in UAE, this method of increasing the cooling wouldn't really cut the moutard...

If you wrap it with aluminium tape you'll save on the paint cost :-) Bit of polystyrene insulation for the headlining & youre away, go for it.

Think they are a marvellous idea, if you dont want to pose / cruise they must be much better when you want to make progress. Lets face it Dubai is unbearable even in the 'cool' of night, apart from getting a topless car full of sand! so topless opportunities are minimal I guess.

Its top of my list for the next time I get the paint out.

Yeah i reckon i will go for this, after a cracking winter summer is coming with the horror that is 45+ degrees.
I know what you mean about letting the air in and have cut new vents after fitting speakers in the back but nothing beats having an insulated hardtop to keep temps down till October.

Could you not install a more powerful air conditioning unit, and a more powerful fan? Might be an option. Also, perhaps consider insulating the area below the steering cowel, and in the footwells?

Perhaps also tinting the windows might help a little.
