7 seater pd130

Looking to buy a 7 seater work horse for around £1000. Seen a 2005 galaxy with the pd130 engine. 185k miles. FSH. Belts changed. Seller says car is left on trickle charger every weekend as he doesn't drive it every day so maybe need a new battery.
Should I be wary of this?
Anyone got one of these with high mileage that can tell me what to look out for? Thanks

I had the 90 PD engine, unit outlived the chassis.
Good easy cars to work on. And pulled like a train. From Hull to Scotland one tank of fuel and still had loads left.
As for the charging, these engines do need a good battery. Id be inclined to have checked the battery and alternator if need be renew.
I left my Galaxy for a few weeks over Xmas - it was pretty cold and it fired up first turn of the key.
I had 185k on mine, it ended up the gearbox failed.
