Hardly worth looking at forecasts, chaps. With trillions of terabytes (or whatever) of computing power they will still get it wrong (and keep their jobs - amazing). To be fair, trying to say where a specific band of rain will be 5 days in advance. ain't easy. When I l looked at metcheck this morning, it predicted rain all day for Sunday (in Northants), a few hours on and it seemed that it won't kick in till 3pm. Just gotta to go take another look....
Oh come on - it's amazing they can get one day right given the factors!
Although, in "general" metcheck is pretty good, and whilst the graphics have changed, that's a factor of their website logic - the raw "rain" colum has hardly changed at all apart from the lunchtime bit that's got a lot wetter!
Working in computers that have to (only) compute 2^10 combinations in seconds, I have ultimate respect for a programme that can churn out 2^15-2^17 combinations in a few hours!
