What you doing on your bike in 2017?

My plan for next year.
Scrap plans to do a third Letape de Tour...as it doesn't appeal as much as the 2015 and original 2016 routes did.
Might do the Marmotte in the Pyrenees next year.
On my mountainbike I intend to blast along and get better technically.
Overall target for next year is to be a lot more powerful than in 2016, where I went a tad too far with the skinny climber thing.

Planning in the Great Yorkshire Bike Ride in the summer. Then ride from London to Amsterdam at the end of the summer.
Otherwise, just keep bettering myself, and enjoying it. I only got back on a bike in February after about 10 years out of the saddle. Nobody told me it would be this addictive!

Probably a couple of XC races on the MTB but it'll depend whether I can be bothered!
Pivot 24/12 is the main event for me for 2017. Racing the 24h solo and I reckon it's gonna be a tough field as it's the national 24h championships and about 6 weeks after the Wembo World 24h Champs. Hopefully I won't get completely embarrassed there!

Mountain Bike: I'll probably enter a few PMBA Enduro races (goal is to finish top half of my cat.). Do some Hike a Bike in the lakes and generally have a laugh.
Road Bike: MORE MILES! Do some decent sportive's and go on more Sunday club rides with the local roadie club. No where near fast enough for even Cat4 races!

North Coast 500 (probably competitively)
Tour of Cambridgeshire (UCI Amateur GF & Chrono)
Albi (UCI Amateur GF Finals)
WOW Cyclothon (1,500km non-stop race around Iceland)
DunRun, finally!
London-Edinburgh-London (maybe competitively)
Rad am Ring 24, though this clashes with LEL so it's one or the other
Paris-Roubaix and/or Flanders
Revolve24
I'm tempted to try TTs, particularly the really long stuff, but I'm not going to be competitive on a road frame and a TT bike is not on the cards any time soon. I'll also be looking out for more ultra-distance races but I'll probably have to sit out the Transcontinental next year and look at shorter events. 2018 though…

Have gone off doing sportives a bit in the last couple of years tbh. Not sure if it's the commitment to doing it on that particular day even if the weather is poor/costs - just not enjoying them as much as when I first started doing them quite a few years back (have done the etape a few times along with the Raid Pyrenean three times and couple of L'Ariegeoise's too).
This year did a few longer solo rides into North Wales like days of old and really enjoyed planning the routes / trying new roads so expect a few more days out like that really. Fancy riding round Anglesey again, did the Tour de Mon in 2014 which was good - just not managed to get back out quite that far in the past year or so though did Bangor to Chester / Chester - Bala - Chester a couple of times
Oh and making sure this winter I don't lay off too much as lost a lot of fitness compared to 2015 and noticed the difference quite a bit

I've signed up for the Velo Birmingham event so I will mostly be training for that. It's the first time I've ever entered into anything like it.
Also tempted to sign up for the 55 mile http://eroicabritannia.co.uk/ event.
I would like to do more than 2000 miles in the whole year which will be a personal best.

2016 isn't over (by quite a long way for me yet!)
I've got a big (for me anyway, 155 km) mountain bike race coming up
And then this in December:

2017, hopefully do more road races in Tenerife. I wouldn't object to some more UK road races too if I am around.
