Wow, great resolution.
I've seen some other D2X images from sources I believe to be genuine and so far it looks to be really great.
How's the user experience so far?? Have you tried the HSC crop mode of the fly yet? I would think it could be a real bonus to you in your sailing images.

Mmmm!
D2X
....
I know it's tempting beyond belief. Both the D2X and the EOS 1D mark II are incredible photographic tools.
Annual bonus is in the bank account - I feel myself weakening
but it is £3.5k - that's still keeping me held back. If it was my business then I'd be doing my utmost to get one right now, but it's just a hobby for me despite how seriously I take it. And that price tag is pretty eye watering. Give it a few more weeks until I've weakened enough! Chris

I think we need to get you and ehasler together and do our own PH comparison
Well I am up for it........
Me too, although not sure what it will prove aside from being an interesting exercise
Probably prove that for 90% of scenarios there is little difference.

Go on then you two, let's sort it out. I suggest both using the same lens - Scooby Snax do you have a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4? If so, then a scene can be chosen where you can both take exactly the same photo (obviously Mr Hasler will have to stand a bit closer), and the results can be compared. Take the photos on a tripod at f/5.6 for optimal results, and do a selection of ISOs from 200-800 (and 1600 for the Canon). Might have to play with the in camera sharpening too.
I see you are both in London (as am I *cough cough*), so it shouldn't be too difficult to arrange...
