where to buy home HIFI for old people (simple/cd/radio)

Not had much luck searching about the net, so, where to buy something thats fairly simple to use, and has a radio and CD player.(and a tape deck?) Being up in their 80's they believe bigger will give them better sound so don't want a micro system (I've tried telling them ) but all the old school 'full size' home stereos don't seem to exist any more (or if they do, I can't find them)
Budget....... I asked them how much they wanted to spend and got "well it doesn't really matter, as much as you like............ upto about £150!"

Any help appreciated!

You're going to struggle to get anything decent at that budget IMO unless you go secondhand. Denon M37DAB fits the bill and turns up used with speakers in budget.

Recently got my mother a Cambridge Audio amp, Mordaunt Short speakers and a TEAC turntable for circa £300 or so. Swap turntable for CD and a tuner for roughly the same money.

Probably the way i'd go, but probably not the way they'll go. They were looking for new.I always tell them not to buy cheap tat, but it always seems to fall on deaf ears!
