Sorry if this repeats a previous question, but search is still disabled

I am not a frequent user of this road so only noticed last week that under every overhead gantry on this road, the road appears to be marked with speed camera markings. However they are adjacent to the lane markings rather than central on each carriageway, and I could not actually pick out any cameras. Anyone know what is happening / planned?

Dont think so - clearly freshly painted in anticipation of some cunning plan.

Thanks, I think! Glad I don't live there, but will have to take care when visiting. More evidence of Tony Bliar's authoritarian control freak obsession. It's all for our own good though, isn't it?

The speed camera's will be placed on the gantries but not there yet. Doesn't stop people slamming the brakes on when the see the markings - why they couldn't wait until they put the camera's up I'll never know.

A lot of people still think the 50mph limit is still in force between J3a and 5 and refuse to go over 50mph in lane 3

The annoying thing is they just stay in lane 3 thinking they are doing maximum speed...numpties.
