Cold Callers Leavening Negative Google Reviews
Discussion
This is a new one on me !
Secretary took a phone call yesterday morning saying
“Can I talk to the business owner as one of my colleagues has come into your shop today, spoken to him and told me to call him back”
The fact that I had yet to arrive into work that morning (call at 9:15) and we had no such person come in the shop, she said rather sternly that I had yet to come into the shop so you must be lying, there was a bit of back and forth and then she put the phone down.
The person has now left a 1 star review on our google page
THE RECEPTIONIST IS SO RUDE !!!
I will never come here again! I am actually so shocked and appalled at how I was spoken to! I was called a lair and told I couldn’t talk to the person I needed to speak with! Very unprofessional company.
Now that is taking the biscuit she has never stepped foot in our shop, by the looks of her reviews she has done it to someone else in our area.

Not a great deal you can do, with it being a pain in the arse to get Google reviews pulled. All you can do is leave a sympathetic responsemaybe mention this is very unusual and you will address it. Maybe the cold caller is hoping you'll ask them to get in touch?
There is a great deal you can do !!! Looking at her other reviews we had an idea on the area she was from, then googled credit card machines and processing found the company. Find the director’s names via LinkedIn in and company’s house, then call up and ask to speak to the girl by her name, get put though and tell her in no uncertain terms to remove the review or i would tell her managing director (drop name) what she has been up to.
Not 5 mins later it was gone.
I hate cold callers with a passion, why they feel they have to start off with a lie and then think you are going to do business with them is beyond me.

t... Fair play... Um...
To be honest it can be quite easy to find someone, but this girls shortcoming was she used her real name and had given a few reviews in the area where she worked so a quick google pulled up company names and after reeling a few off she remembered what it was called.
I could and maybe should have gone to the boss and made a formal complaint but i sort of get the feeling these call centres don't really play buy the rules so went with plan B which worked.
I don't mind reviews left for us good bad or indifferent, but what i don't like is liars and she was miffed that we rebutted her call and took revenge.

The last thing we should do is let people get away with this Social Media bullying.
I've had it previously at a company I used to own and took great pleasure in landing the girl in a disciplinary for the bile she left on a review when her request for a full refund was refused due to one of her group being denied access to the night club we had arranged free VIP access, because she was 16!!
People think they can post with impunity on Facebook / Google / YELP reviews.. and for the most part they could but no more!

While i do see your point, it is not really going to do much i think in this case. I get the sense that the mangers know the score and the way they have the lie to get an appointment.
While i don't agreed with what she did she removed it, and i don’t see what getting her sacked from what must be a s
tty job is going to do, she must be desperate to work at a place like that under that sort of culture. chippy348 said:

What would Trump do! He would have her sacked, sue the company and then expose them!!! While i don't agreed with what she did she removed it, and i don’t see what getting her sacked from what must be a s
