I've stripped and cleaned the switches and don't know what is best to re-lube them with. There are products like THIS on the web but they are expensive. I've also seen copperslip type lube as being suitable.

What's best?

Silicone lubricants are non-conductive Joe.
I would suggest using petroleum jelly ( Vaseline ) if finances permit. wink

Glen is right Vaseline is the best especially as it doesn't seem to evaporate like WD. Copper slip or similar is a no no as might effectively bridge the contacts. Not sure what Mikes stuff is but probably as good as VSOP ;-)

Well I suppose it would keep those leather overtrousers nice and supple Paul, if you're into that sort of thing. wink

It is also useful for use during sex: you just apply it to the bedroom door knob and it stops the kids bursting in. smile

All done....

In the end it didn't cost me a penny biggrin I remembered I had a jar in the medicine box. I got it several years ago when I was taking morphine based pain killers for a bad neck injury. That's all you really want to know wink You may be able to coax the rest out of me after a couple of beers on the Spa trip. Oooo....that's a bit if a give-away laugh
