I have always had quite a few, (a family trait) and my sister and mum are often on at me to get them properly checked. I did see my doctor but he said to keep and eye on them and come in if any change. But, my sister went to see a 'skin doctor' (dammit, forgot the correct term) who checked them all in detail and removed one or two just in case. Have any of you done this?

Had a cancerous mole removed from my nose twice from the same area in the last 3 years. Told it won't kill me though. Always pays to get them checked!

I went to The Mole Clinic near Oxford Circus last year. They checked every mole and it did give me peace of mind. It did cost £130, but if it prevents something serious then it is worth it.

I've had 2 pulled from my back because my doc did not like the look of them. Benign, so nothing to worry about.

My mom did not like the look of one, doctor said it was nothing to worry about, she persisted, it WAS something to worry about, so if it feels strange, get it looked into!

I am getting a mole removed on the 8th of November.

Basically it is looking different so best to get it out and checked.

Thankfully many people are now checking themselves which obviously means faster diagnosis which is everything.

Had one right in the middle of my back. Struggled to see it with a mirror. Went to the GP and it took a minute to be told all OK. He seemed quite pleased as it got him back on schedule saving the 9 minutes!

I've got one on the side of my head that I've never noticed before, but it could have been due to the fact I had my hair cut shorter than normal for the first time in years.

Popped down, first doctor had a look and was a little concerned as it was two colours and different to the others on my body (wasn't expecting to have to take my top off in front of her).

Saw the second one who is more experienced and he was fine about it. Said it may grow over the next 10/20 years in which case to come back and they'll look at taking it off. But to just keep an eye on it and check for changes.
