996 GT3RS Extended Warranty Costs

Can anyone advise please what is the cost of either the 12 month extended Porsche warranty and also the 24 month extended Porsche warranty? The car is a 2003 GT3RS. I recall that there is a discount for buying the two years together.

I paid £1940 for two year OPC warranty early this year. Normally another couple of hundred quid for the 111 point check but had service as well managed to wangle this for free. Car needs to be original with N rated tyres, Porsche battery etc.

OR you could pay the cash equivalent the warranty is gonna cost you into a savings account (ok, putting it under a mattress would be just as good these days!!) and use it on a rainy day, should this eventuality come to pass. With a mezger engined porsche, that would be my take on what to do vis à vis the extended warranty.

Bearing in mind also that even with the newly announced 15 year time limit on these policies, your '03 plate RS will not qualify much longer, so are the next couple of years really worth it?

The other question of course is how much you're actually going to use the car as this might also have a bearing on whether to take out the policy. Even if you are going to use it extensively tho', if it were mine I'd still pass.
