Fitted my E-Prance dashcam a few days ago and it works perfectly. The problem I have is that it screws up radio reception, the cigarette lighter charging lead being the problem. There is no interference when the camera is on and unplugged from the socket, but the static returns even with the camera disconnected when I plug the charger in on it's own.

I am thinking of getting a USB converter to use instead, should that make a difference? I know I can link directly to the fusebox but I'd prefer this option.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Sounds like a grounding issue.

2 things to try:

A good quality adaptor.

Ferrite-core damped usb lead.

Both these things helped a little with the DAB interference I got with my camera, but it's 95% the camera itself in my case...

Solved.

Good quality USB in the lighter socket with a decent lead, job done
