my Carrera 3.2 known as, or is just 'Carrera 3.2'......?

Sorry, this seems like a bit of a knuckle head question but I couldnt answer it with a quick google.

Yours is simply a 3.2 Carrera, that may also be described as either a 915 or G50 model depending in which gearbox its got.

Pre SC 911s had a letter designation as the descripton i.e G series Aug '73- July '74. H series Aug '74- July '75 etc

Okay........ so mine would be 'simply' referred to as:

Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Coupe Sport G50

3.2 Supersports have 930 (i.e widearch) body with turbo ruuning gear but boggo 3.2 engine/box.

Actually to expand that a bit & being a bit more anal before I get nit picked- after L series the A series began agian- from sept '70- August '80 this time it was called imagintively- new A series! & there were SCs before new A. (K series & L series I think)
