I made some chicken stock which my wife put in the fridge without straining so it is in there with the bones etc. Is this going to be safe to eat?

Am thinking a fast boil and then straining it and it should be okay?

Sounds fine to me as long as its not more than a couple of days old.

When I make stock I pour it into those sealable food bags and lay them flat in the freezer, that way they remain thin and thaw out in seconds.

as long as it hasn't been left hanging around for several days just reboil it and you'll be fine. As for storage, I reduce mine to about half its original volume then freeze it in 'ice-cube' bags so I can then pop two or three cubes straight into anything that needs a bit of a flavour lift (eg risotto, couscous, etc)
