audi a4 b7 tdi in limp mode

hi I have a audi a4 tdi 2007 170bhp.
I changed the headlight bulbs which was a nightmare so I took the air filter housing out to get to it. I changed the bulbs put everything back but the car is in limp mode now with no engine management lights on or anything. could I have done something when I changed the bulbs? Thanks

Air filter housing?

At a guess I'd say you unplugged the mass air flow (MAF) meter, it will be a little tube shaped thing with a box on the side, just after the air filter housing.

Thanks for the reply I have double checked and the MAF is plugged in everything is back to where it was. The car won't go past 3k revs while still and won't go past 2.5k while driving
