Apparently he said it was too early to say. Which probably means he hasn't asked what it should be.

Personally I'd hope it's a new revision of the Hawk.

That's my take on it. Nothing else suitable in the current or near future inventory, is there?

Maybe they're getting F-35Bs

The entire display will be conducted Beyond Visual Range, and with that 900nm range, that'll be a maximum of one display per day wink

That* did cross my mind.

Briefly.

Very, very, briefly.

Please don't say it again, it may gain traction.

Just announced it's going to be Tucano on the website!

I'll miss the sound but could still be great?

Its not April the 1st is it? The Tucano can be displayed very well but theres no way 9 of them is comparable (in my unhumble opinion) to 9 jets. Its not even like the Tucano is a true aerobatic stunt plane....now, 9 extras doing a simultaneous stall turn would be impressive.

Going to be six aircraft as the diagram above from the red arrows Twitter feed suggests.

I feel a woosh parrot coming on, but there is nothing on the official Red Arrows Twitter or webpage about a replacement or new formations.

Defence Secretary Michael Fallon made an announcement today at a ceremony to commemorate 100 years of military aviation in Lincolnshire. The type replacement won't be a for a few years and no formal announcement on the type of aircraft has been made.

Could you save a portion for me, please? I was similarly stumped.
