B Spec - Go Faster Man!

My b spec skill is reasonable - almost 8000 points, but my driver is still too much of a pansy to go flat out on the long straights. At Le Mans in my R92C I can do 240+, but he feels that 209 is more appropriate. What a loser! Anyone know how to get around this?
