Printer for Ecommerce?
Discussion
We dont print that much (500 a day max - but with integrated labels), compared to others but it always a problem. Previously tried a dell laser, then a pretty expensive Oki. After they where such a pain in the.....I asked around and lot of people recommended buying HP4100 refurbished.
Seamed to work pretty well, but as they are refurbished we wear them out pretty quick even if we do change part regularly.
Any recommendations?
I can help here. I used to do 50 pages a day, to 100, to 200 and now I average around 350 on a monday I churn out 900 odd pages in one go.
I have tried and return many a printer which have all been a pain. I was told OKI printers were excellent work horses but mines became faulty and seemed flimsey when I got it.
For over a year now I have used Lexmark MS811dn and It is only and truely a workhorse mono printer. Same as you I only print labels and the thing is a beast.
I have had problems with it and from what I can tell I was unlucky. Not enough to not be able to use the printer but cause quality issues that only bothered me and did not affect the processing of orders etc etc
In Lexmarks defence, someone comes out the next day replaces whatever needs to be done and when I complained the extended the warranty by 6 months.
I got mine from printerland - More importantly with this printer they have tonners going up to 45k pages and the other consumables are very cheap - the cheapest I have seen of cheaper and much more expensive printers.
Apparently tesco have these rolled out across the Uk in all stores and offices. They switched from HP.
Hope this helps - I struggled for info when I was looking for a replacement for my brother printer.
