What to do with the foot-well voids TVR couldn't think of how to finish off.

This is the left one roughly trimmed with some scrap vinyl.

These trim off those areas and cover up the wiring quite neatly. The left hand one also provides additional support for the little parcel shelf under the glove-box.

Question on the drivers side panel.
What is the bracket over the small square area covering up in the front?

Well spotted! That holds the new panel to the piece of wood sticking out of the tub. On this side I wanted to tuck the panel into the void as far as possible so as to avoid any contact between my foot on the accelerator pedal and the speaker grill. As it turns out, as I press down my foot goes away from the grill. So I may end up doing what I've done on the other side and screw the panel to the wood batten. I'll need to see what the gap is between the bottom of the panel and the foot-well carpet once that is glued in place.

Are you feeding the speakers through crossovers with remote tweeters or leaving them as fullrange? I can see the treble response being somewhat compromised by firing into your leg biggrin

Pardon? scratchchin I'm sticking with 1970's technology so if I get sound out of all four I'll be quite happy laugh On long motorway journeys I usually listen to my iPod on earbuds.

Lots of cross-overs here laugh

Serious question now. Do the speaker wires with the trace colour from the radio go to the small terminal or the larger one?

Thank you.

trace should be negative and therefore go to the smaller terminal.

I can't hear anything above my exhaust and to be fair I like listening for anything rattling or falling off...smile

Since most of my remaining hearing is via my poor ears (and not my poor knees) which are located near my headrest, that's where I put a pair of Miata speakers. Just saying <grin>. Grady

That's a great solution - something I've considered doing myself.
