RNS-E questions (phone/BT and firmware version)
Discussion
I have the RNS-E and apparently it’s running 0220 (according to the info screen)
I have a 3rd party 2017 map disk, which works.
I want to link up my telephone via BT but it says “telephone not connected”, I have the button on my steering wheel, but my phone isn’t paired and I don’t have a docking point and haven’t paired my phone.
My car is the 2006 A4 RSI S-Line (3.2 v6 Quattro) and I have Xenons etc, but don’t know if I have BT, or even how I can tell.
1. What’s the next step to get my phone/BT connected? Is this even possible? Can I check?
2. I think 0220 is massively out of date, how can I update this and what would it do? (and can it go bad?)
Thank you

Search for the car from your phone within 5 minutes of switching on the ignition. It'll be called 'AudiUHV...' or something similar.
If you can't find that then you don't have BT (or its broken). It wasn't factory fitted as standard. BT module would probably be under the passenger seat if you have it...
