What do you do with lazy, moaning employees
Discussion
In my job i work with one other person, and i cant remember the last time i didnt work with either someone who is lazy, or someone who moans all day, or someone who clearly does not give two f
ks if they make a mistake.
Im sick of raising issues with employees as its just become a lot easier to ignore them and do the work myself. Im bossy at times but lately im just fed up and cant even be arsed doing anything about it.

I completely understand what you are saying. I am at the point where I have told my HR dept. not to replace a specific person unless the replacement is actually up to the job. It is easier and quicker for me to do their job (and mine) rather than be constantly worried they are either going to cock up again or sort out the mess in their wake.
Other than that all you can do is ignore them and try to make the best of it!
LOL, just re-read.
So you are their boss? And you can't be arsed to sort them out?
Under 2 years service? Sack them.

If they make mistakes does it reflect on you? Or can you make sure management can see where the problem lies?
Well it could but id be able to pass the blame back, only on the basis that i know i do things properly and check everything properly where as some people are so not bothered, it would be hard to prove.dieseluser07 said:

My father used to say "Give them enough rope to hang themselves".If you really want them out, make sure you're insulated from the problems they're causing and then leave them to fail. If you play your cards right you'll look very good in the eyes of the bosses.
Funny enough I was looking on PH for answers to a problem I have with a co-worker. Very like your situation. This guy is non-stop moaning all day long. Complains non-stop about how low the pay is (government job) moans about people at work, makes nonstop moans about capitalism, conspiracy theories, constantly interrupts my work when he calls my name as he is at a desk near me and it is only to moan about the job or money or his life. He recently made a very poor taste joke to a gay co-worker about loving large penises (he is 31 years old). The co-worker did not hear the "joke" but 5 others did and it is being spoke about. Several female workers have mentioned they feel uncomfortable with him as he is eyeing them up. It was brought to our attention yesterday that he made the following comment to a female worker "You know there are woman killed in the middle east for wearing skirts longer than yours". He gets aggressive if we do not agree with his view of the world. He has already been moved due to a complaint and is now causing problems at our end of the office.
Because of where we work, there are some serious rules to be followed and one of those is not using the internet during work hours. This was even raised at a staff meeting only last week and yet there he is sat on the internet. I don’t think many of us need to complain about him as he has and continues to dig a hole every day.
