Had a nasty fall on a pathway in a marina.Cant say exactly what happened,outcome was badly grazed and cut nose,two black eyes,swollen lips and unbelievable bruising .I,m a 67year old female,was wearing sensible flat shoes,time of incident was 19.15 dark and poorly lit area,dry conditions,pathway not ideal compacted stone/aggregate .I didn't,t have medical treatment but did take photos of my injuries,the accident was reported the following morning Should I claim or is it not worth the hassle.Thanks

make a claim. but before you do, go to the daily mail. they'll wana take a photo of you pointing at the floor you slipped and your injuries, be sure to look very sad.

Now you have reported the apparent defect, you probably have a better chance of suing if you toddle off and repeat the unfortunate accident. The more injuries you sustain, the more ££££££ you could claim.

and then next year whinge to all your mates that your insurance policies (car/house/whatever) have gone up.

where do you think the money comes from with all this liability claiming?

My M-i-L claimed against a taxi company when she fell out of one, they went out of business, now she whinges she can't get a cab round her parts

Thanks for that Doc,you've just persuaded me to do the right thing (filling in the claim form now) unlike your taxi company let's hope the Marina has the right public liability insurance in place.After all that's what insurance is all about!
