When buying a used car from a main McLaren dealer, what is the average % off the sticker price would you offer without causing offence? And what is the general attitude of a main dealer when it comes to negotiating on price.

Its a different ball game buying a used McLaren to a new one. Dealer has 15% margin in a new car but nowhere near that in a used one.
With the used ones already taken a massive depreciation off new list price the used cars are priced to sell and firm.

Lots of nearly new / used cars seemed to be priced at circa £180k and £50k+ off original list. You can always make an offer if its a straight cash transaction but from my experience you wont get a great deal on a used car - £5k max if you are lucky off sticker price if they are keen to move the car on at the end of the year when sales are slow.
Some big PLC's need to reduce their stock at financial year end so December is a good time to buy believe it or not and quite often the prices go back up in January or certainly by March.

Good luck - cracking car and worth ALL the money and more IMHO. Certainly wouldn't want to lose a good un for the sake of £5k

I agree with RamboLambo. Obviously get what you can price-wise but then might be better to focus on extras, additional warranty, etc -either thrown in or you get at cost/discount. One of the things I managed to get thrown in with my 650 Spider was a set of McL tailored luggage which in theory retails at over £3k. I'd never pay that, but it is amazing how much you can get in those 3 cases! Also they fully armour fended the car.
