doing some misc late night work, have decided to put "sexy beast" on in background - lordy, it's a damn good film ... ben kingsley as never seen before and ray winstone being just superb, as usual, like rest of cast.

i have bought two copies - one when i was living in new york and then a uk spec edition when i came back to blighty.

BK plays the scariest person i have ever seen on film. superb performance. to think this same actor was gandhi!?!

I always thought that the title referred to the car he was driving at the end of the film.

Talking of Lovejoy - anyone seen any of Deadwood? HBO drama set around the time of the gold-rush. Stars Ian McShane as a foul-mouthed, no-nonsese bar-owner. He's awesome in the roll.

Really good series too. Imagine The Sopranos with whores, gun-slinging, gambling and whiskey drinking. Hang on, that IS the Sopranos

First season out on DVD (US).

Oh, yeah. Bloody hell. I'm sweating in here. Roasting. Boiling. Baking. Sweltering. It's like a sauna. Furnace. You can fry an egg on my stomach. Ohh, who wouldn't lap this up? It's ridiculous. Tremendous. Fantastic. Fan-dabby-dozy-tastic.

If you like Sexy Beast then try Love Honour and Obey, another not very well know Ray Winstone Brit-flick. Great sound track, loads of funny scenes.

Another great film on those lines is The Limey, starring Terrence Stamp.
