Too right.

Having to go to Boston or Peterborough eek for a Mac attack must have been hell for some.

Ours closed down 2.5 years ago and they have only in the last 3 months started to revamp the site where it was located.

Cripes.

I blame the Hamburglar.

Yeah, definitely his fault. Now we are getting indeterminate "shops and residential space" on the site. Nearest McD's is now 5 miles away. However, I have survived so far.

Ours is undergoing the same at the moment. Which we thought was weird as it wasn't that long ago it last underwent a refurb.

Makes me laugh when I read some of the details.

It will feature new state of the art touchscreen technology to facilitate ordering. It'll also include three zones where people can have the food delivered to their table. Less walking for the fatties to do. smile

It will also have tablets for kids to play with (hoping that isn't paracetamol) and free wifi and phone charging spots etc. Can you imagine the layer of grease that will be on them tablets? yuck

My kids make a beeline for the tablets every time. Utterly disgusting, and they're not allowed near them!

The new 'Argos' style of orderingredients has slowed down the delivery of food. At least you can now legitimately hog a table without food now.

Jeez. Ours got flooded and demolished. Took them just 3 days to rebuild it.

Ironically, seeing as how we're talking about gourmet food, it's Gordon Ramsay's 50th birthday tomorrow too. Lots happening tomorrow.

One near my work is closed for refurb, I hope they put in those screens you can use to order your own meal. Can't understand the business of model of having one person on the till, and having to wait while one customer orders, wait for the food to be cooked, then takes the order from the next person in the queue instead of taking multiple orders.
