My brother is lookiing to buy his first tvr, hes got his eyes set on a Taimar,I know nothing of this model!
What are the main (expensive) problems/faults he should look out for? chasis? Any help on this matter would be much appreciated.

Your car is basicalyy an updated Taimar so yes the chassis is the main one. Probably best to see whether the engine has had any work done as by now they've either had or require an engine rebuild also ask about unleaded heads. Good luck. J

I bought my Taimar approximately two years ago and, just like any older TVR, pay close attention to the condition of the chassis first of all. If it's solid, then just check out everything else. Obviously, if your brother can find one with extensive records it helps. But it would also be good to have it thoroughly checked out by a specialist who knows these cars well. It would be worth the expense to have that done rather than guessing. Good luck with the search.
