Peer to Peer online Car Market Place

Hi Everyone,
Just wondered if anyone had any experience about using an online peer to peer marketplace for cars. My friend tells me that they are becoming increasingly popular in the USA with companies like Beepi.com, Vroom.com, Shift.com.
Does anything like that already exist in the UK?
I have seen two companies CarBaya.com and HelloCar.co.uk that are allegedly 'launching soon' in the UK. Are there any companies already offering such a service, and has anybody had any experience of using them?
Each time I try and buy or sell a car, I feel like I am not getting a good deal - so just wondered if these companies are genuinely solving a real problem or if it is just some marketing gimmick
By looks of things the US companies (from a quick search on Google) seem to be really popular and growing massively.
Any help/comment/advice will be gratefully appreciated.
