What is this old logo and what does it stand for?
Discussion
I am trying to decipher this logo embossed on an old switch.... it looks like HOMA? but is that right? and if so, what does it stand for 'H.... O.... Motor Accessories'? Is it even H... O... ? It is old, so perhaps someone recognises it as I am sure it used to be commonplace but I have never seen it on anything else before and have drawn a blank with Google.

This is the switch from which the detail of the logo was taken - you can see the logo in the middle of the rocker. It is an old one, pre-war and probably 1920s-30s? Measures approx. 60mm long. I was hoping an old timer would recognise the logo... but it seems not so far.
Thanks for the link for HOMA - have emailed them to see if they recognise it.

I can't recall any flush-type rocker switches fitted to pre-war cars.
Also, car switches don't tend to have external screw fixings.
Maybe this is from some kind of industrial machine or lighting.
Edited to add: HOMA make pumps, so it may be the on/off switch for one.

Yes and I'd also say that rocker switches were not found in cars until well post-war and when they did appear they were plastic, not metal, so I too would vote for an industrial application. Also, car switches don't tend to have external screw fixings.

There's a mention here:

of car switchgear made by Homa Engineering, Blaby, Leics.
If you search for "Homa dashboard" you'll find hits on eBay.
