Trails in the southwest

I've taken my 10 year old daughter on a couple of MTB rides recently and she's really enjoyed them.

We did trails around the Caneston Forest in South Wales while on holiday which were mostly wide-ish fireroads and then some long singletrack downhills
Then last week did some in North Devon which were very steep and rocky/lumpy paths.

Any suggestions for places in the southwest area that we could go to do some mixed trails? Nothing too challenging at this stage, although she's pretty handy on a bike she's not used to drop-offs and jumps and stuff yet.

There are some dedicated mtb trails in Haldon forest near Exeter, haven't ridden them though.

That looks OK. fairly short trails, is that the norm?

Don't know how far you are from Forest of Dean but there's a couple of decent trails there, that are very ride-able.

Several disused railway lines, Tarka Trail being one. Lots on Dartmoor/Exmoor & Woodbury Common near Exeter as well as Haldon mentioned.

Went down to Haldon Forest yesterday with the kids and we had a whale of a time.

Started out on the Spicer Trail, which was a gentle introduction to swerving around trees and lumps and bumps for the kids. Then the missus took the two kids around the Kidden trail while I did the Red Ridge trail. Then I took oldest daughter (10 years old) along the red ridge trail.

They thoroughly enjoyed it. The red trail is fast and flowing, hiding the climbs well. Lots of twisty singletrack through the trees which I loved.

Cafe was good, parking was cheap, what's not to like

Triscombe is really good - some really nice DH and FR oriented stuff - but with 100km of trails there's something for all abilities and ages.
