Chaps,
I drive down the A4 'Great West Road' everyday to my office in Brentford. For the last couple of weeks, a load of people wearing hi-vis jackets and bearing walkie-talkies have been hanging around 2 or 3 sets of traffic lights near the Osterley tube station area. Does anyone know what they're doing?

They're not BiB.......I've got a nasty feeling they're lentilists, out to prove that the limit needs to be reduced and camera's installed every three yards!

Cheers all,
J.

I work in Brentford too, but get the M4 in I'll ask around.

monitoring traffic lights? if they are standing by the lights and the lights are linked they could be checking the current data used to control the sites is efficient.

did they have a company name on the back of their high vis?

to check speed and the like they would need a speed measurement device.

With good reason - that 3 lane section makes a nice race track
