Most days (usually around lunchtime for some reason) my DAB radio seems to suffer from interference, what is the best and most cost effective way to improve this? It is a Sony system and currently I just have the wire aerial which came with it, this is about 90cm long and taped to the wall.

I am not a radio buff so don't want to go mad but any recommedations much appreciated!

Many thanks

Phil

External DAB aerial

Also be mindful of 4g phones near to the equipment dect phones etc

The general idea is to get more signal and get above the background noise

Does your Sony have a signal strength meter ? A few DAB radios have a meter hidden away in the menus somewhere. If there is a meter, try to see whether moving the aerial wire from its current position, on the wall, gives you a stronger signal.

Small aerial position changes made a big difference to signal strength on my old DAB radio. Worth a try.

Does it have an external aerial connector? If it's near a TV aerial point then try plugging into that, not ideal but has got me out of a few scraps in the past.
