reusing print cartidges
Discussion
Does anyone have any views on using non standard ink cartridges - eg the ones u get refilled. we use lots of hp inkjets and laser printers and wondered if its worth changing. i know a few years ago the reusable ones were crap but are they now ok? If so any recommendations for someone in kent?

IMHO it depends on how much printing you do.
The refilled carts usually last a shorter period of time in constant use, so more hassle if you are regularly changing them (at work for example)
However for my home use canon printer I use them all the time. I pay less than £3 for a b&w/colour pack of clones, instead of £20+ for originals. 2 packets down the line and you can get a new printer with the savings if they clog up etc.

Is this for business or home use?
If it is for a business use, then stick with the original manufacturers refils or a compatible one - its just not worth the hassle.
For home use, the refiled variety are normally fine, but be aware that occasionally they can cause major problems, I have seen a couple of inkjet printers rendered practially useless due to the cartridges leaking.

Yes - so keep an "original" about in case of claim..
