I’ve been meaning to put something up on here for a little while - mostly because the car in question was featured as Shed of the Week back in July (the one with the free queen tape).

Anyway, I was scratching about for a 210 at the time to replace my 203 (great motor btw, just too small) when I chanced upon the ad in the autotrader. Like Shed, I was intrigued. I’d always had a soft spot for 124 wagons and it was cheap and reasonably local (which is often more important to the wife). We went over to see it, a deal was done and we drove it away about an hour later.

3 months or so have passed and it’s beginning to come together. Bodywork finished last week and it passed the MOT yesterday after a brief “parking brake efficiency” fail. Next week it’s going into my local indy to get the rear suspension sorted out. Really looking forward to getting it back on the road in the next couple of weeks…

Here are some shots I took earlier today (needs a clean and the new plates putting on but not had time yet).

And yes, its still rocking the Queen tape…

That's a lovely old bus, some new plates would really tidy that up as you've said.

Old money, classless, could park that anywhere and it would fit in.
