central locking

hey all, Having a few probs with my central locking and alarm. The damn car wont lock and the alarm nolonger appears to work. When i push the lock button on the keyring the car does not lock and the alarm doesnt come on. I changed the battery in the key pad but it hasnt helped. The spare key doesnt lock the car either. 96P reg chim + has factory alarm + immobilisor.
any ideas....I clearly think its an elecrical prob? best person to sort + cost?

Had exactly the same problem on mine (95 Chim - original alarm) last year. Alarm had died! Karl at CBI (www.TVRUK.tv )sorted me out with a new Cat 1 alarm He also spent ages on the phone trying to sort it before finally giving the RIP diagnosis.
