In short one of my Mates had been given permission to take another friends car out . He had no license and obviously no insurance.

HE wrote the car off being hit by anther driver.
The other driver was told the situation and told.him to takeoff sharpish before police turned up, which he did.

It turned out the owner of the car had modified parts that were undeclared son_ouldnt of been paid out by insurance anyways, so no matter who was driving the cars wrote off with no insurance.

They've accepted the accident and obviously not mentioned the guy who crashed as there seems no point. HE'S just gonna get charged insurance stil won't pay and car still gone.

Do they just accept, learn from it and move on?

Cheers for reading.

Hope you don't mind. But what does that all mean? What sort of response are you expecting. They are a bunch of morons who deserve whatever they get.
What you have written is nonsense. Sorry.

Which car was modified?
Which driver was at fault?
What were the police told?
What were the insurers told?

I suspect your mates car was modified but his friend was not at fault? A claim could be made against the other driver but that would involve your friends being honest (likely?).

Regardless, get new friends.

This sounds like it was the other driver's fault.

If it was 100% the other driver's fault and not in dispute, then it does not matter if your friend was uninsured, unlicensed, had undeclared modifications, undisclosed medical conditions, no MOT, no tax etc etc, as long as they were not a factor in the accident they make no difference to the validity of the claim with the 3rd party's insurer.

Except the other insurer may make a call to the police to see if they fancy a nice easy conviction.

And next time, please write the story with good English and Grammar, so we can all understand it. Thanks

I find it tricky to believe that it wouldn't matter if he had no insurance, licence etc.

Surely the other party could argue that if he wasn't on the road, the incident would never have happened?

Agreed. And to fill in the time you used to spend with them, sign up for an adult literacy course.

Who knows, losing the knobhead friends and getting better educated, you might actually go on and make something of your life.

(And not end up like me pissing my time away on the internet! hehe)

Nope. Look at it this way, if you crash into a car parked on double yellows does hat make it the other persons fault? Whilst they were committing a separate offence you are still in the wrong.

Tbh when someone who is unlicenced and uninsured lacks judgement enough to drive a car and then immediately has an accident, I would struggle to assume it was the other drivers fault.

I think the same lack of judgement might lead to an accident and also to think it was the other drivers fault.

and as well as losing his car he's also committed the offence of permitting the vehicle to be used by an uninsured driver which is 6-8 points

This. I can't actually understand what's happened. OP - can you re-write it clarifying who did what?

I think I understand, despite the appauling wording.

DickA borrows DickB's car, DickA has no license.
Third party DickC crashes in DickB's car, causing total loss.
DickA tells DickC he has no license, DickC admits to having undeclared mods.
DickA does a runner and DickC insurance is invalid.
Dick B now has no car and no insurance from DickC to cover any costs.

Everyone realises they've been dicks, nothing that can be done and moves on with their dick lifes.

Edit - Nope I'm still not sure, does DickC or DickB have undeclared mods?

Read it as DickB having undeclared mods but DickC being at fault for the accident so does "deal" with DickA to run away and not tell anyone.

^^ That's how I read it.
Apart from that one B/C miss-step, its a good summary.
