I have to ask a very embarrassing question, even though I consider myself as a garage-savvy-handy-car-mad person...and I've checked the manual, just in case smile

My rear plate on my Vantage is fixed with some round headed plastic screws that I've never came across. All my other cars had a flat head screw or just used a double sided tape.. To keep it short, one of them is loose and I can't get it tight. Feels like there is a nut behind the rear bumper that is spinning with the srew, somewhere I can't reach...

Is there an obvious solution I'm missing or is this just another funny design solution? As I understand that I should be able to remove the plate to install the towing eye in emergencies... but how if I can't even get it tight? smile I'm tempted to drill it off and just tape it, but hoping one of you will know about this and put me out of my misery biggrin

Thanks for your help!

Charlie

The black round thing is just a cover it will pop off with a flat bladed screwdriver carefully applied. Underneath that you will find a normal screw.

I'm using VELCRO as the tow hook is underneath the plate... I hope I'll never need that hook but being stuck with e.g. your problem when the car is in the ditch sounds like little fun.

Fair enough then. They are definitely for driving rather than just looking at.
