Some advice please.
Discussion
Well, I did myself some proper damage six weeks ago. Fell downstairs on Sunday and landed on my face, there was big black bruise on the right hand side of my face. Spent the day in bed, things went from bad to worse and I was rushed into Dartford in the early hours of Monday morning. It turns out my brain had been bleeding quite badly. I spent a few days in a coma and everybody thought I was either going to die or have brain damage. In hospital for 12 days in total. It's been a hard few weeks, for example my memory was completely shot for about a month, but I'm a hell of a lot better now than a couple of weeks ago even. f
k knows when I'll be back at work. But there you go.
My question is about headaches, been getting them fairly regularly since, the doctors have told me to only take paracetemol after what had happened, but they no longer work like they used to. Are there other tablets I could take?
Headaches always around the Right eye, seem to brought on by either bright light or noise.
The only thing that works well is a nice hot bath and getting my head underwater for a while.
Any ideas or recommendations
Is it worth getting an eye patch, dark glasses maybe?

Thanks, I've got another appointment on Monday PM.
Would it not be worth heading to your local accident and emergency just to make sure?I personally would not be waiting until Monday afternoon after having a brain injury.
Obviously I am no way medically trained but it sounds like a build up of pressure in your head.

Just to say my sister caught a hockey ball or stick to the face ages ago, 6 months later she was still suffering really badly, went in to see a specialist, turned out to be some pressure in her skull had not been relieved. Once this had been sorted her headaches stopped, so don't just use the meds, make sure it is checked out - which I am sure you are already doing!
Hi mate sorry to hear what you been through. Check out "trapezius myalgia" and the symptoms/management for forward head posture. I would imagine spasm and tightness in the neck following the trauma are the cause of these headaches, certainly ppl who have had whiplash injuries develop these headaches
Thanks a lot people.
Doctor was great, I've another head scan coming up sometime soon which should be helpful. Codeine tabs and I've now realised sitting up in bed with my head level stops a lot of the pain.
I'm getting there slowly.
My memory was so bad I'd fogotten they diagnosed me with a fractured skull while I was in Darent Valley.

They think I do, others don't, so who knows.
Thanks for all the help so far.
