Historic flight departures?

Hi

I live near stansted and it sounded like something fairly monstrous took off last night at around 2340. Is there any way I can look up historic flight departures to see what it was? I've had a look around but it appears I need a destination airpot or flight number.

Qatari 777 cargo?

They do get quite a few cargo and larger VIP aircraft in and out of Stansted.

Wow, thanks very much. I think it must have been the Ryanair flight before which seems odd as it sounded like a fighter taking off!

How would I go about running that search myself?

I'm doing this on a phone so not sure about full website but:

-Go onto the flight radar website
-Menu
-Data history
-Data history in the sub menu
-Enter EGSS or STN or Stansted into the airport search
-departures
-scroll down and hit earlier flights

They do fly them like they stole them when they're late. It could well have been something like a biz jet as they don't feature. The Dubai Royal families private 747's pop in and out regularly for example.

Thanks again. Could have been a 747 as I timed it at 2342 and I'm not 4 minutes away. Next time I'll get out of bed and have a look.
