Hi All,
I have stupidly left the reverse light wire attached to the gearbox as I pulled the box out. The wire has now detached itself from inside the body (through the little rubber grommet as looking from underneath).
I've searched without any success on this one. How do I get access from above via the gear knob area as obviously the gear lever is attached from underneath. Surely I can gain access to where this wire can be re- attached. Maybe taking some of the interior trim away?
Thanks.

You can get a new one with around 2feet of wire on it.
It runs up in the ns end of the transmission tunnel.
I've no idea how to access it from above.
But I'm sure it's easy to run a new replacement.

Thanks for the reply.
However,, that is the whole point - it ain't easy to just put back again as gear box etc in the way and not sure how to access from the top either.
I momentarily had my hopes up believing the wire would run from the bulb to the switch on the -ve side. I could then just add it in and to earth. BUT the gearbox awitch is on the +ve side so not as easy. I could jump in from a fused line from the fuse box?
Any other suggestions anybody?

The connector is behind the the lower dash piece ( the bit that has the immobiliser and the cigarette lighter in it) on the passenger side.
