I can't endorse any particular insurance policies, but I've just had a brief chat with a highly competitive broker who has told me that if there was enough interest from a group of Noble owners, he may be able to arrange some cover for this Sunday.

Please let me know your interest by posting direct on to this thread. But bear in mind I'm only acting as a go-between and cannot take any responsibility for the level/quality of cover.

timing is everything !

I just got mine today with Competition Car Insurance.

£323 for £45,000 market value and a £4500 excess.

Does this other one cover the whole car?

Well that's nine so far. I'll ring my contact tomorrow morning and see what he can come up with.

Fingers crossed!

Thanks Simon, its definitely worth a shot. Failing that I'll just pay the 280 or whatever it is to go via Morris for my car.

MORIS only cover a max of £30K.

Please don't think I've forgotten about this!

The insurance brokers - Autotorque in Manchester - will be calling me on Friday morning with full details of the track-day cover they have on offer. I've already given them price parameters for the cars, so if everyone's happy with the cost/level of cover, it will simply be a matter of supplying your registration numbers to them. I guess Autotorque will then bill each of you direct.

Any news on this? I'm going to book morris very soon so that I don't risk going without.

I have just spoken to Autotorque and they tell me that they have not been able to secure the competitive deal they'd anticipated. However, they can provide cover on Sunday for a one-off fee of £300.00. Please call Chris Jordan on 0161 278 5226 for more details.

However, for future reference, Chris is in the process of setting up a policy in the next couple of weeks to cover track use for Noble and Lotus owners only. He tells me that this will cost far less, and can be combined with a road policy to boot.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for all your effort on this Simon, sadly a bit too much and have work commitments on Sunday evening. So I won't be coming along on Sunday.

Hope the weather turns out fine and you all have a great day though.

I'll be trying this insurance company when it comes up for renewal time.

Simon,

Thanks - all done, and their insurance offering to come in a few weeks sounds excellent.

Cheers!
