ordering beer online
Discussion
So due to an apparent recent legal issue in belgium my normal supplier can no longer ship to the UK or many other european countries. Nightmare as they were the cheapest by some measure. Hopefully its a short term measure, apparently the industry is fighting the courts but i cant find any info about this.

Where does anyone buy from?
I had Saveur Biere recommended but an identical standard order of 48 bottles (24 kwak and 24 brugse zot dubbel) is nearly £30 more expensive. The uk based suppliers are even worse because our tax rates are higher.

You only buy Kwak and Zot dubbel, or is that's just an example of what you might get?
I'm not sure I can be of much help as I don't buy that way, I don't know if the UK distributors of each of these James Clay or Cave Direct would help with consumer inquiries at all?
I would have bought full crates of most beers I got in Terre des Boisons in Calais last time if I had the space but we don't sadly, what I did get would have cost me a lot more here. It's a pain it's always going relatively expensive here, but I think I'd have to be ordering 48+ to justify foreign retailers for the savings.
I tend to order 24+ from Beers of Europe monthly and keep the price to £50-60 minus shipping, or more if I get a lot of Belgians; even then it'd probably be half the order, unless I feel getting 12 Liefmans Oud Bruin as I did once
. I haven't had much Belgian beer of late, but always looking for other UK sites especially if it's sours and in case BoE are out of certain things which they often are. I've ordered from Beer Merchants a few times too.
I was after Glühkriek fpr xmas and couldn't get it from my usual places, but I found it at Master of Malt who have a pretty good beer selection as it turns out.

I don't know how they compare on price or have what you're looking for but I rate the service:

I wondered why they'd suddenly stopped shipping to the UK though the orders I've made from them in the past always took a long time to arrive and I often had to chase them after which my order would suddenly ship. That said there was no cheaper was to buy Belgian beer. I did find https://belgiuminabox.com/shop/ but I can't comment as to whether they're any good or not as I haven't used them. If you're anywhere near Dover the a quick daytrip with the car would probably be the cheapest, the usual French hypermarkets stock some stuff but if you're prepared to drive a bit I've heard rumours about this place being some kind of beer nirvana https://www.google.com/maps/place/Noel+Cuvelier%E2...www.belgianbeerfactory.com

Unfortunately its about 250 miles to Dover. I considered it when i had a company fuel card but its a no go when paying for fuel myself. I'd have to buy an awful lot of beer to balance out the cost of fuel/crossing.Never had any issues with delivery from BBF but i didn't expect quick delivery from belgium for £6/24bottles
to add to Noels, I've read about www.vanuxeem.be being a good place to visit
