Word of warning if you've got an Audi, I've just spent an hour putting my winter wheels on. 20 minutes of that was spent looking for the tweezers that get the bolt caps off. The car doesn't bloody come with one! I had to use the lock picking tools to prise them off. Thank the lord for the frivolous purchases thread! I'm glad I didn't have a flat away from home!

So have a look to see if Audi have given you the correct tools to change a wheel before you learn the hard way.

I've just bought one off eBay for £3.

I've always had a set in the glovebox. If I remember rightly the dealer always put them there along with the AMI cables. Maybe your dealer is a tight bd?

Useful! I have a collection of those too, I had a collection of ski bags as well but gave them away to friends.

I've just been out and looked at my new A3, the cap tweezers were hung off the Velcro strap that holds the toolkit in the boot stowage.

No wonder they get lost!

Thanks for the tips I'd have probably not seen them otherwise and lost them first time the toolkit was needed

It's supposed to be on the end of one of the screwdrivers isn't it? That's what I read in the handbook as I was sat in a layby trying to figure out how to get the caps off the wheels of my girlfriend's A1...
Not that any of them fitted, but that's what the handbook said to do banghead
