ive got WOT via download but is there CD/DVD "play with yourself" version (or suchlike) that isnt played online? re-seeding takes ages...

Armoured Warefare? Has an online PvE mode so you don't have to PvP all the time, other than that I don't know of any on the PC, aren't the mobile ones offline?

War Thunder's a similar concept but again it's an online game.

Dunno if Arma 3 can be played offline, but if you want something with some credentials several countries militaries use a variation of it for training.
