Centre fascia ski slope satnav screen question.
Discussion
I've brought a new metal gloss black ski slope fascia to replace an old plastic wooden type. I have also purchased the conversion kit - https://astonmartinbits.com/models/4-DB9/parts/149...
Has anyone fitted this, the main difference is the use of 2 metal springs instead of the screen being held in by the plastic clips either side?
Also how does the rise and fall of the screen work, I assume the small electric motor drives plastic gears which move the screen up and down, how does it know it's limits? do the gears have to be installed in a precise way for the screen to move properly?
Thanks for any helpful advice.

The std item uses the metal springs too.
Not sure on limits. I think one of the cogs at least isn't fully round. I would imagine some manner of stop that the mechanism hits.
It's a piece of cake to replace the mechanism (took me 30mins tops to take it off and put it back on when my cogs broke).
