Been to see an S3 today at a local main dealer and I'm considering buying it. Its a late 2013 model (the one with the screen that rises out the centre of the dash) but doesn't have sat nav. Dealer tells me that it can be retro installed by the service dept (I assume its just a download of some sorts??) for circa £570.
Is this really the true cost to install the nav or am I being conned? I really like the car.....but I also want the nav. Just want to make sure I get my fact right before negotiating on the car.
Any advice welcome

It is relatively expensive, not sure of the dealer margin though. Phone another service dept and ask for the retro fit price.
Margins are smoke and mirrors though, so it doesn't really matter. Negotiate hard, the dealer will decide where to show any margin internally, whether it's chassis, service, parts, F&I. (often to the annoyance of the sales dept)

It is not as easy as that I'm afraid, no.
