CD player. CDs skipping, CDs okay.

As per the title I have a Roberts DAB/CD. Not used it for a while. Playing CDs with hardly any visible damage and it''s skipping and jumping like anything. Tracks seem ok at the beginning but will start skipping after 20 seconds or so.

Not everything I'm playing but certainly quite a lot.

Any ideas? Think the CD reader might need a clean?

Get one of those CD cleaner things with bristles in. See if that helps at all.
