Pullman take commuters to work
Discussion
I wouldn't mind a bit of this on my commute
The Pullman service arrived at Ashford International station in Kent at 7.24am for a leisurely 90-minute journey into London Victoria, through Maidstone East and Swanley, so that the lucky 100 passengers who got to board could enjoy the five-star service and luxury trappings of one of the UK’s most famous antique trains (file image)

I wonder if there's an untapped market here? Luxury commuter train for those willing to pay a premium ... or maybe a 'super luxury' portion of regular trains for people willing to pay for something very special.
Like the italian fast trains:http://www.acprail.com/train-tickets/trenitalia

There used to be - the Brighton Belle. http://www.brightonbelle.com/
The Italian picture is VERY like the Czech train I used a couple of weeks ago, to get from Prague to Brno. They have 3 classes, economy, First, and Business, which are in that order.
The First class is good, but the business is even better, only a very small number of seats, widely spaced, all recliners with footrests. Waitress service at the seat, with a wide menu of food and drinks, in refined luxury.
The cost for a 5 hour return trip ? A massive £25. Compare THAT to Virgin East Coast or any other of the UK operators.
