I take it its just the bulb ?
If so then I would not imagine the OPC will replace it FOC....but you can try !
I also heard that when a bulb blows its better to replace both sides as there is a higher chance that the older bulb will blow soon after, if both are not replaced together.
This might be rubbish, maybe someone can comment ?
As to how long should it last...how long is a piece of string ?
Ro.

How long should it last? A lot longer than it has. Xenons are supposed to last a good while longer than regular bulbs, and they're a fair old whack to replace when they do go. I'd go for a warrenty claim on this one personally. That's assuming it is the unit that's expired and not something else (iirc xenons use a separate firing unit to start the bulbs).

If its the bulb it is only a £5 part and takes 30 sec to remove headlamp unit using the removal tool in your toolkit(Black tool roll with tyre leaver etc..)
I thought xenon bulb units were paid for with multiple £50 notes?
I have litronic lights on a C4S a bulb went so rather than book it in and lose the use of the car for half a day I went to the parts counter at chiswick and bought the bulb the chap there showed me how easy it is to remove the headlight unit (Open boot pull back carpet turn catch using specal tool from tool role out slides whole headlamp, unscrew plastic cap at the back and insert new bulb.)the whole thing is a waterproof self contained unite and slides back in without touching any wires or clips.
Thanks Guys.
I'll try for an FOC replacment first. In my few months of Porsche ownership the thing has been back 3 times. First satnav went screwey, then the roof didn't open, a side vent fell off, then had a water leak now this!
Reliabilit was the reason I didn't get a T350 / Tamora.
Thinking strongly about joining the Trevor club.
Thanks for your suggestions. JH.

Well that's news to me. Having said that my only experience of buying xenon bulbs is for an old Omega and they are (were) £160 a side.
