If the M12 was up against a car built over 30 years ago. A GT40 for example, what would be quickest?

If someone wanted to buy a car built over 30 years ago, or a new car. A Noble M12 for example, what would be easier and more reliable?

Did you not watch Top Gear?

A M12 was put up against an original GT40, and the GT40 just pipped it at the post but the result was very close.

and not forgetting that in conversation after the run the stig admitted to making a mistake in the noble (and didn't have as much practice in it)...and in his opinion the noble would have been quicker given more time.

Anyhow bit of an odd comparison...and old racing car vs a new road car (that's also pretty handy on the track)

I've been in a GT40 for a 2 hour drive. Not nice. After an hour I bet any difference in speed wouldn't be the issue.

Who cares whats fastest?? 150mph in a straight line is as dull as dishwater. Surely the fun is in the handling?
